We all get those calls that we don’t care for. But sometimes you get one and they let you know the best move is just to ignore. These kind of calls are so common this reminded me about a story of a congressman trying to push for a bill to put an end to these kind of calls. Partly because he also got spam calls kind of a lot. Thought, I can swear I’ve seen the story about this at least a few years ago, and not as recently as late last year. Oh well.
I didn’t think I would find myself updating this image so soon. The reason I put 202? before was because I wasn’t sure if the incident was going to happen at all. I’ve been noticing a slow down for awhile which did put some unease on me. Then after a couple of weeks from when I posted the original it all went down, hard. You try to warn people, but their pride and selfishness just costs them in such a way, and they don’t even know how to admit to being wrong.
We are in a recession, and I don’t think we are going to recover this year.
Staying it most of the time sucks and I’m going to keep complaining. So many events I had planned has been pushed back or canceled because of the corona virus. Which I learned how they got their name form here. So many events missed out on because of the outbreak. At the beginning of the month I was supposed to cover the Pillow Fight. Iw as the led person for it, but i had to cancel it. The next weekend was Wondercon, also canceled. Then last weekend was going to be Anime Pasadena, which as of now has been pushed back to thanksgiving weekend.
I had many other events in the plan to take part of. I was looking forward to Ru Paul’s Dragcon, Hollywood Carnival, 4 or 5 different pride events, Anime Expo. I guess this is for the best for now, because I really don’t want to pass this around. I’ll be fine, but not sure who around me would be. We can do this.
Seems some people are still not listening to the warning of how not to get COVID-19. What is wrong with you? People are dying and yet there are still others calling it a hoax or acting like they will be fine. History really does repeat itself far too often. So here is a nice little band with a wonderful song to help inform you on how to protect yourself.
If for some reason you found yourself alive at all during 2020, you might know this was an awful year with so much that could go wrong, actually going wrong. But then you ask yourself, how can it get worse? Well different people have different ideas taking form screen shots from TV shows, movies, or any other visual medium saying something along the lines of “I’m sure things will get better by the start of next month.” And they show a image of say, Godzilla or Galactus.
I’m pretty sure this is what’s coming up in July.
If you haven’t been paying attention to the news lately, there are protests happening at many locations demanding everything to be opened up again. People wanting to work (really?), get their hair done, or just believe this entire situation with the corona virus is a hoax. It’s not. I don’t know of anyone I know who has died, but some friends of mine have lost someone they know, and I found out the other day I do have a friend that recovered. We are in a a crisis, and the leadership at the very top has failed, colossally.
With that being said, STAY HOME!
I remember as a kid learning about economic systems like capitalism and communism, and had this idea in my head both these concepts were some kind of direct enemies of each other. Years later doing my own research for my own entertainment I notice some interesting commonalities. You read about some of Smith’s writings and find he was about helping the public because how they get cheated, much like what Marx had in mind with his work. Then I later came to realize Marx apparently thought Smith has some good ideas but hated how they were what he saw was corrupted. So then when he wrote his books it seemed to be conceptualized as a from of capitalism, but to more an extreme.
Now something else I’ve done that’s entertained me is posting this Smith quote by itself without any context of where it comes from. Then when they would call me a communist or socialist based on my comment I would share this one image I found years ago showcasing the origin of the line saying “So why do you hate capitalism?” The excuses the other person makes to defend themselves, like claiming “you put that out of context” when that is the context. Saying the line is fake, or or just making something else up completely. It’s great.
But, I want my own image to share of this line. So I made this, and grabbed the image from here because I’m feeling a bit to lazy to actually make something.
The cat, she is finding more favorite spots lately. This time among a bunch of sticks.
On my daily stroll to the Pokestops near my place, I always see butterflies hanging around this one flower bed. But this butterfly is different from the rest I often see. I always like to see variety.
