Year of the Water Snake.

Chinese New Year thing, being thats what this year is on the calendar. What I did here was I drew out my snake as a Waterbender from Avatar: The Last Airbender which is a show I’ve heard nothing but good things about (but don’t worry, I know to stay away from the movie). I had it on my queue for a while and I’m finding myself blasting thought it because it’s so good. I figured I would watch it some while also going though Misfits, while the show is pretty good itself but I just don’t want to stop with Avatar right now. And I still need to get myself drawing again. Come on whats wrong with me?

At least I believe it’s charcoal. Enough ALA related posts for now, they are annoying so I’m posting an old drawing of mine from a class I took that I didn’t get to finish because of the limited time given. Not sure anyone else in the class finished either but that doesn’t matter anyways, as long as you did something.

I would post in photos but I’m mainly about the drawings. Also I’ve never seen any of the Saw movies because I just don’t care for movies like that anyways. But someone did something like what is seen in the top frame as a joke and all I could think of is use the paper, and problem solved.

A friend of mine awhile ago requested me to draw a unicorn in a field of bacon grass. Not much of it because I’m to lazy to add it all it so I just added it at the feet and the head. Just trying to get myself in the groove of things here. I’m sure if I redrew this on the computer it would be a lot easier making the bacon grass. Lets see if I’m not to lazy to pull that off.

So awhile ago a friend of my dad’s I guessed wanted some kind of logo for himself, so the two of them asked if I can make something based on his nick-name, Kiwi. Yeah, thats what he is known as. Come up with this. I am so lazy lately, what is wrong with me?

So earlier I was reminded it was International Talk Like A Pirate Day and was like “I should of made something pirate like today.” Then decided to do a quick drawing of something being one and asked some friends of mine to name me an animal. Right a way I had a response saying Puma. Here you go. Also I just remembered I forgot to add a sword.

So, in my effort to try to get to drawing stuff again I asked some friends of mine on facebook for some ideas and one person gave me this.

A swarm of locust attacking penguins which are feasting on some mackerel. Meanwhile in the background the aurora borealis and north star with glaciers.

Not something I want to go in THAT much detail into. So I figure just do the Penguin eating. But you know, I can add more to it, I’ve done some neat looking backgrounds in the past that are gone now sadly. Maybe next time. As for the locusts? uhhh. And now I’m going to watch RedTails. And yes I know the beak looks weird.

So I posted on my FB page saying I need to draw something and to give me an idea of a style because I need to experiment in Illustrator some. So a friend of mine said draw a mudkip… so I did. No, not really much of experimenting here but it was fun anyways.
