He Makes Women Uncomfortable
Title inspired by a video from the Fast Food House. Sometime during the last decade I started hearing claims of trans women sexually assaulting women and girls in public restrooms but I couldn’t find any stories about it. Literally nothing existed but stories of people talking about it. The thing is trans people have been using restrooms of their chosen gender for long before without any kind of incidence that I know of. I remember one time I had someone ask me if I would let a trans person use the bathroom in my place, and told them that’s already happened a number of times.
What changed? Did it have to do with the fact same sex marriage was fully legal on the federal level and those who were against it realized they lost that fight and needed a new cause to rally around? Then comes trump, someone who claims wants to protect women and girls, but is also known for bragging about sexual assault, watching pageant contestants changing being his right, and has even told little girls he has intent to date them some day. His connection to epstein also makes things far worse.
There isn’t some kind of epidemic of trans people attacking others in public restrooms, and I’ve seen people complain about all gender restrooms which I’ve used before without incident. Then when you have bills telling people they must use restrooms of their gender assigned at birth that could open things up for people to be assaulted. There have in fact been stories of cis gender women being harassed and assaulted because someone thought they didn’t look feminine enough.
Then there are trans men who have had people threaten them for saying out loud, if you see them walking in or out of a women’s restroom, that’s what they wanted in the first place. Then there is trump who like I mentioned before, has talked about walking in to changing rooms of pageant contestants and watching them. And his transphobic supporters have never complained about that. On top of the fact he’s had numerous credible accusations of rape against women and children, and his supporters still simply don’t care.
