John Oliver did a pretty good segment (as all of them are) on this. Just over a week ago when I news broke RBG died my immediate thought was, “We are screwed!” And it’s all because of one guy in the senate decided to play the long game, and it worked for him. Even if a new justice is picked and Biden does win, I have reason to believe there will be problems just because of this.
The first Mario Bros game come out 35 years ago. One of my favorite games as a kid then when I beat it on my own I felt like I really accomplished something. I would say my first game that I was really into was Pacman, but Mario was far more interesting to me in every way. Now Nintendo has announced a bunch of new games from the series that I’m sure I’ll end up playing some of.
Speaking out against trump after working with him. It’s just, how can someone so awful still have people unquestionably stay in line with this moron? I help to see more republicans or others with more conservatives points of view turn against trump because we can’t deal with him anymore.
Something I want to post from John Oliver’s show.
Why? We need to learn about our actual history, about the mistakes we’ve made and problems we’ve causes or allowed to happen at the expense of other people around the world or other americans. Like some of what happened to black people, native americans, asians and others. It’s not about saying “america is bad” no! it’s knowing what we’ve done wrong in our past so we can do better. We can still talk about the good we’ve done like fight off nazis (but also mention they’ve been here too) and sent people to the moon. As John mentioned in this segment, if you don’t teach our real history, you are teaching white supremacy, to something along those lines.
Another trailer came out today, this one has a short clip from the scene I was there for. Couldn’t find myself and I doubt I will when the movie comes out. From relooks of it when i see this movie it will be when it comes online in about 2 months. Because there ins’t going to be many theaters running for awhile. But I’m still excited.
Covid Has been in the US for, I want to say about half a year now. I still remember not being to worried about it then, and was even in Chinatown for Chinese New Years before it started to get bad. Some people decided to downplay the problem and lie about the virus and why it exists. Sometimes I question, are we boned?
Anyways, John Oliver did a segment on his show about this mess where people just make up conspiracy theories that of course make no sense and explains why they are more dangerous. But realistically it takes far more time and work for to perform such a conspiracy than it’s actually worth.
Well, that didn’t work out. I mean, who would have thought so many people doing the wrong thing by meeting up in groups, getting close to each other, not wearing masks and claiming covid was a hoax would end up ruining everything? Like I knew would happen. I know some people will blame the protests against police brutality which doesn’t seem to be a factor. Not sure the Lockdown protests were either even though they were being more reckless. But I know the Tulsa Rally went bad.
I found out the Rose Parade is being canceled which happens on New Years. So with that news I’m not confident Santacon will happen.
Well the lockdown fully in action, again, because some people rather be idiots and not stay at home or wear their masks when they are out. But there are still some shows coming soon to look forward too. I’m so glad One Million Moms freaked out so much about this show coming out years ago, I would have never watched it if it wasn’t for their outrage. Silly pro-censorship/harassment whack jobs.
Just some Vox video I saw the other day that I believe should be spread, like so many new diseases are. Diseases that I would much prefer not to be to go about as they are these days but what can you do? I honestly wish there can be more videos like this meant to be informative instead of basically being commentary for any kind of political point of view, including that of what fits along with mine.
I got a little bit of video from the rally on sunday. Because of covid I was I was not optimistic about much happening for at least a few months. Then I learned about pride being canceled which caused my heart to sank. It’s some of the most fun I have all year because of how wild the whole event is. At this point of the rally where I recorded this bit of video was in West Hollywood at the step off for the parade. I honestly didn’t think I would walk along the route this year but it happened.
