All New Lens

I had this for a little while, and happy to have it now because when things open up again and there are events going on, I’m already set. The reason I got is is because my the kit lens that came with my old Rebel XT was no longer working properly. As in, I was only able to zoom out so far, and stopped from there. It can still take photos, it’s just I didn’t like that issue and believe it will get worse. I had another good lens before that I used with the old camera, but for some reason had some compatibility problems with Canon 70D cameras. Worked fine with every other Canon SLR seemingly, and just gave it to someone I know. Figure they will have better use with it.

Now this, a Canon 17-55 f/2.8 with image stabilization. I still remember an old photography teacher saying when looking to get a new lens, always save up for the best ones, which to me are the f/2.8 zooms. Because in a way by doing that, you’ll be saving money and not have a random collection of lens you’ll no longer be using anymore, or will end up reselling. Funny enough I had that idea in mind before then, and to hear someone I was learning from say just that made me feel so much better. I haven’t used it much since I got it, but it is nice. Now to save up again for two other lens i’ve been eyeing at for at least 10 years.
