The Assassination of Payton Hobart

Well yesterday was a long and tiring day that prevented me from posting anything. But I’m back, and awake. Ever heard of the show, The Politician? Well I was on set for that. I watched through it but didn’t really catch my interest to much, but I know others liked it a lot. But I do have to admit there was some funny things that happened. I was there for two different scenes, The first involved a reenactment with Reagan from when he was in office. I was off to the side watching as everything was going down so I never really had the chance to be on camera.

The next was related to Ford, which was cut from the final product. Sigh. I spent a a large part of 10 years in highly uncomfortable shoes, and nothing on the broadcast to show for it. I also had a wig on for the first part. That was exciting at first, then because very painful. I don’t know how my friends that wear wigs in their cosplay do it. Well, that’s the background actor life.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind…Hunter

I was in yet another show that aired recently, or, was off camera in the cut they used for the episode for the show, Mindhunter. It was a pretty short day on set. All that was recorded, when I was there was for a transition scene of the guy running along in an airport. Where I was is on the left side of this shot, and if I was seen in the frame, you would have seen me walking over to the door.

The show takes place in the 1970’s, and I was really hoping to be on camera, so everyone can see me in 1970’s era clothing. I understand this kind of thing is common, but still, it makes me feel like I wasn’t needed after all.

Curveball

That awkward moment you are in Miami, for some strange reason, on your rollerblades and some dude in just kind of short shorts runs by you.

Here is a screen shot from the show Grand Hotel, which I was in. This was recorded late august last year, in Westwood, near UCLA, and finally aired last night. At first the plan was to have me and the other guy with blades skating with each other but I guess it seemed a bit boring to them. Then they suggested we dance, to which I said “you don’t dance on rollerblades, especially to side walk like this.”

Then they grabbed some random girl on set with us and, well, I don’t know what happened. Didn’t make sense but what ever, I like how I was clearly in the show, and my blades are very noticeable.

Ketchup

So here I am, in yet another show, Single Parents. The scene is where one of the characters of the show is at a metal show where she meets he baby daddy. I’m one of the people at the show and pretty much the most of you see of my is my hair, while I’m head banging. I had a feeling I was going to be well hidden, but glad I at least slightly thrashed about enough to where I can see myself.

Mass For Shut-ins

That awkward moment that you find yourself able to time travel, and use that ability to goto the early 70’s and see a Led Zeppelin show. Only to discover you in the background of some TV show called, The Kids Are Alright.

I’m pretty far in the back, wearing a blue jacket and with my long hair still. Oh, I never posted about that, my hair is short again. Was done on the first. I have video of that but will have it up later, I’m pretty lazy about editing it right now.

Dirty Hippies

I wonder if I survived the snap? Or lived long enough to see it happen? I ask this because I think I can now say I’m officially in the MCU, via the Marvel show, Runaways, with season 2 now on Hulu.

I’m in a flash back scene taking place in the late 70’s. I’m on the other side of the chair on the right side of the screen. I believe you can see my head and part of what I’m wearing from the bottom of the chair you can see through. You might be able to see my feet too.

That was not fun pretending to be sleeping on that floor, because it was wood. But hey, background acting life.

L-O-N– LONDON, Again?

So while I was moshing at some punk club I once again found myself being recorded by these same cameras following this family around in London. But this time it was just the dad and this new guy he met that night.

How do I get myself into this stuff? Also why am I holding a beer bottle? I don’t drink.

L-o-n-London

So awhile ago I found myself on some spontaneous trip to London and over heard this group of people, I was guessing a family talking to each other, kind of loudly. They were really the only people I could find myself hearing. And it turns out their trip was recorded by some cameras and put in some TV show called Speechless.

Which bring up, that awkward moment I found myself in the background of this families adventure.
