Satyr 1

Satyr

depending on what you look at a satyr plays different roles in whatever story they are put in. In greek mythology there horny little bastards, in warcraft they were once night elves corrupted by demonic energies. seen in Fantasia, Chronicles of Narnia, and some of the toughest enemies in the video game God of War.

and now I have my own version

Gaia 0

Gaia

if you are to crate your own universe, what would your supereme being be? and no you can’t pick yourself or you’re a dick. what I had in mind was someone that is female, caring and kind, and when you think of her, you think of life.

the idea was to base Gaia off of someone that in my mind you think peace and beauty, to me Halle Berry fit that best. well I tried to draw her out as close as I can and this is what I got.

Queen of the Harpies! Queen of the Harpies!! 0

Queen of the Harpies! Queen of the Harpies!!

so, like, yeah. much like the nerubians in warcraft, I saw the harpies in the game and wanted to do something with that. but this drawing I worked on before, the idea was to mix angel and tropical birds. the reason for that is there is a species of bird called the Harpy Eagle which lives in rain forest in south and central america. most tropical birds are colorful so I felt it was fitting

Anubis

The egyptian god of the dead, as you might be able to tell I have an fascination with mythology. So many interesting characters and creatures in so many belief systems long gone, or still around today.

Cthulu

The Anansi 0

The Anansi

Awhile back after playing warcraft 3 I remember a unit called the crypt fiend, and another type in the game called a nerubian, a centaur like spider people that I thought was an interesting design.

fast forward to sometime late last year I wanted to make my own version using the name “Anansi,” named after the spider in west african folklore who was a trickster. If you like to know more, read here.

Osama in Hell 0

Osama in Hell

I would have to say there are two eras to my work. The classic era where I was mainly known as sirevil starting in 2001 I think, and I would say ended in right around when I got my SLR right at the end of 2005.

Before then I was photoshopping a lot of photos I would find here and there on the internet, but now and then I would mess with something from a camera I had at the time or draw something. This I made back in 2002, a year after 9/11 happened. I remember having a lot of trouble at the time trying to figure out a nose a draw. and someone I knew at the time gave me the idea to look for demon faces and draw off of that.
