MJ Tribute Flash Mob ’12

Alright, so I was at the gettipede today but because of the MASSIVE amount of photos I have to post that tomorrow. But for now here are some other photos I got today at city walk of a flash mob around the anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson. A friend of mine that was dancing at that asked if it was possible I can stop by and get some shots at that. At first I thought there might of been a time conflict but turned out there wasn’t so I figured I should have time to do both. And I did. Sadly by the time I got there it was already going but at least I got something.

LA Pride ’12 Photos

Let see how did my day go? It started off with meeting some friends of mine, getting a quick breakfast, then heading over. Got to WeHo at around 10am near the end of the parade route, put-on blades and rode to the start of it just to get some photos before hand. Once I made it to the start I went around taking some more photos of the floats and people waiting to start moving and then finally found my friends again. At around 11:45 we started walking the route going for about a mile and a half down Santa Monica Blvd and after I hung around the area for a few more hours, meeting with other people and taking more photos of the wackiness that was ensuing. What a truly entertaining day.

To bad my shoulders hurt now.

Solar Eclipse ’12

So I was at the Griffith sunday to see the event. The plan was to take the red line to vermont and sunset and a little shuttle bus that runs on the weekends. Turns out a lot of other people had the same idea I did so I hiked up the road and it was really hot even when it was starting. So I make it up and go inside to cool off and they felt a lot better. after about 20 to 30 minutes I come back out and it was a whole lot cooler and was a bit of a breeze. Did that fell good to, then I started taking photos and this was the out come.

Then I hiked back down the hill.

LA Dapper Day on the Subway ’12

And now to tell the story. The day started off with everyone meeting at the Hollywood and Vine red line station but because the train I was on decided to sit at one stop a few minutes longer then it needed to I ended up missing the first meet up. But with luck I got to see everyone at the first location we where going to on the subway, Barnsdall Park where we could see the Barnsdall Art Park and/or Hollyhock House. We hung around there for a good while, talked, took photos and such.

The next location was Olvera Street where Heritage Day was going on. They always seem to have something going on there don’t they? Where we got some food then across the street to Union Station where we got some drinks, hung more, and took a group photo of the lot of us together. After that we went on the subway again going to Angels Flight, the worlds shortest rail line in the world and learned the history of the area.

Last thing of the day was Chinatown, first taking the red line to union then the gold. Those of us left went to a restaurant, ate more and hung in the area to maybe do some shopping. I ended up taking off during that. It was a long day but fun, would do again.

Also I found some scientologists on the subway during the event. Looks like I need to make some cards linking to clambake. And now all scientologist that ride the subway are going to be briefed on me on who to look out for when talking to people because I’m sure they check the site all the time. Unless they don’t care about me anymore which would be sad.

LA Pillow Fight ’12 Photos… Yeah, it happened!

Very strange day that ended up entertaining. So I went over to Pershing Square incase some people didn’t know the event was canceled to let them know about it but the security guys there told everyone that it is in fact at The Cornfield. So I rode up with a group and we decided to see what was up over there and a park ranger came out and let us know we can’t have the pillow fight for the reason that if feathers start littering the ground everyone could be cited. SO what we ended up doing was parking at a mostly empty lot near a nearby gold line station and having a little battle there. Some more people came in and joined in the battle and it ended up being a lot of fun.

This was the afternoon of reckoning!

Anoniversary ’12

So yet another year since the whole anonymous movement started in ’08. Very few anons are left but those still around clearly are not giving up or letting down. I got there a little later then I wanted to but made it none the less, about half a dozen handlers came out and got a lot of people honking in support. We even had cops drive by saying “free speech.” Sure that might of bugged the scientologists there that heard it.

But one thing interesting that happened. As scientologists like to claim their critics are violent there is no known evidence of that but there is a lot of evidence of them attacking people and saturday was no different. One of the protesters had 2 signs he was carrying with him and a female scientologist came out, ripped them out of his hands, attacked him and destroyed one of the signs. I’ll post the video on that later but for now here are my photos.

Acoustic K-town Show

So one friend of mine set up a show were he, along with another friend of mine and some other people were going to play invited me to the event. I wasn’t planning on going but another that was going to watch asked me if I was going to and since I was already in the area at the time I figure why not. Two of the people playing also did Enter Sandman and sadly the person singing didn’t know the words to well so she got the rest of the crowd to sing along. Then at the part of the prayer she asked me to do it with her because of my dark and evil voice and sang the rest of it. I’m hoping there is video of that to see how I did, I know I messed up some but thats fine, just want to see it.

Chinese New Year ’12 Photos

Sorry I took so long but here they are. Religious nuts came out in force and the parade this year seemed shorter. I got there before 1 which is when the parade was set to start and on my way to my spot I ran into another guy I know who was also waiting for it to start but has been there for 2 hours already. By the time it was over I meet with some other people and talking to them some. One lady said to me people like me bring happiness to all and I said back “I don’t know, I think your just being nice.” Then she pointed at my camera and I do so because I’m an artist and share with everyone. I thought that was sweet, I like her.

LA No Pants Subway ’12 photos

Yes! they are online now. Alright now let me tell you about my adventure, first thing I did was I went down to Hollywood to find the right phone store because I was having a problem with mine and I wanted it fixed so I can use it again. During this extra trek I was finding that my timing seemed to of been going well then I started heading back over to North Hollywood to meet with my crowd for the ride to Union Station. So as I was heading over to union one of the people I was talking to on the ride over had the idea we run over to the other cars and meet with idea people on them and take more photos and after riding the train for a half hour we finally made it.

Greeting us at Union Station was a larger number of people that rode over from other lines in LA coming from Pasadena, East LA, and Koreatown. After roaming around the place for 30 to 45 minutes we all hopped back on the red line going to Hollywood once again for a group photo at the Chinese Theatre and then just wander about the area.

Lots of people on the subway come to discover this and found it very funny, while others clearly looked disturbed and likely wanted to shoot themselves in the face.
