Lepricon ’15

Last weekend I was sent an invite to this, and with nothing to do I figured why not. At least it will get me out for the day and I can use that time to download some of my stuff again like Warcraft. Photoshop is back on but it was strange putting on, and still kind of strange working it for now but it’s working.

Anywho, this was taking place at Woodly Park, and it was a picnic really. There was also DJ’s playing, some dancing, dogs, and just a general hang out kind of day. It was also the first time this event was held so there are hopes it could happen again but be bigger.

I would like to join in again.

Lights for Miles

The LA Marathon had just happened this weekend, but before that there were lights set up pointing to the sky for each mile of the route. I was informed the best place to view it was at the Griffith so I went up there. But to do so there was two plans. One driving up, which you would of had the problem of traffic and finding a place to park, and the other being to hike up the hill which will take some time, is up hill, at night, and should be slightly warm still. Turned out the hike was the better idea. For a while I thought I might of been there to late but ended up working out in the end.

Also as you all should know I do have my computer back, but I’m having some other problems and it involves loading photoshop back on. I am using an older version, which I’m fine with and I really don’t want to use Creative Cloud because it’s subscription based. The version I have does what I want still but for some reason won’t install and it seems to have to do with the current OS I have on my computer. I’ll try to figure out a work around.

Long Beach Comic Expo ’15 – Photos

I am now back home from that party. I really enjoined that. And with further experimentation with my camera I took a lot of photos that I’m actually pretty happy with. I felt something might off been wrong with me because I wasn’t liking how my photos were coming out on my old camera. I don’t know.

It’s a rather small con, I was there as Timmy Turner on the first day, and I’m always kind of surprised how many people like it. Plus I’ve been feeling a bit down lately, but after this I feel kind of revitalized.

Kind of excited to see whats coming up next.

Chinese New Year ’15 Photos

The funny part was, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to go down for it. I had few friends convince me to and yeah, good idea. I didn’t get a lot of photos but what was awesome was the fact I did get fed. A well fed shark is a happy shark.

I did some more experimentation of the camera settings and I do believe I’m getting closer to the visual style I want, but there is still more to be done. Also, there is video coming.

Can’t want to see whats next.

Gallifrey One ’15 Photos

After I was done with the Flashmob sunday, I heard there was also a convention going on at a nearby hotel, that I walked over a mile for in warmer weather then it should be for this time of year. Gallifrey One, which is a Doctor Who convention. Though I don’t actively watch the show, I have seen it from time to time and it’s interesting to say the least. I might want to actually try to sit down and start watching it properly. I was there shortly and it was the last day so I did have a chance to get a few photos in and what came out I’m happy with.

To bad it took me so long to finally load online.

I Never Think About It

Because I know I am not… I saw this where we had all met up before the flashmob on sunday. Not only found it clever but if you ask me, also true.

Also though editing this photo I had accentually discovered another feature. In order for me to take this photo at the right angle I had to hold the camera away form myself. But here is the fun part, I can use the screen that flips out to insure I have it as I want it. By doing that is also takes the photos in widescreen. This can be helpful in some photos like group shots because I really don’t like cropping unless I have to.

You Must Save Me

The other day I found my dog and cat keeping very close watch of a patch of grass at my place, I knew something was there and as I suspected, a lizard. I picked it up and took it some place safe and as I’m puching it to run away, it turns around and started running up my leg. and every time I kept putting it back on the ground it kept coming back to me. I think it know I didn’t want to hurt it.
