Stan Lee Fury

At least I believe that’s what he called himself. The guy is going as a mix of Stan Lee and Nick Fury. All involving Fanbase Press who make books that are kind of parody/fan fiction, I don’t know how to explain, but it sounds possibly humorous.

Let’s Make a Deal

Another shot from The Perky Nerd. I didn’t get a lot there so I didn’t feel the need for for a small gallery of shots, so, just one at a time. But you all saw Dr. Strange right? I do believe he said that to the one figure in the movie. Yeah, I’m not one to spoil anything for anyone, or at least try not to.

Saving this City

Today I was at some small comic store in burbank. A friend wanted some others to come down in cosplay and I was going to be Timmy, because I felt lazy as always but couldn’t find my pink shirt. I grabbed my coat and went all black and decided to be Neo from Matrix. Good thing because it also rained. There were a few other people there also dressed up, like this guy going as Green Arrow, who wa also selling pop figurines. It was a nice little place, and I recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Odd Pairing

Then again, this was in Texas. Sure, why not say this all takes place in the same location, live, and be stuffed. That’s the say to do it.

I Shall Tell You A Story

I can’t remember what the performance was from, but it wasn’t a sing and dance routine. Seemed more like reciting. I believe it was something in relation to Sleeping Beauty, I don’t know, but everyone enjoyed it.

Merfolk Out of Water

While at AIDS Walk awhile ago after running into it, I found these people just waiting by the fountain at grand park. It’s a pretty big fountain, but water is so shallow that if you if you walk in it with shoes just tall enough water won’t get into them. That’s going to make swimming a bit hard.

Let’s Dance

Before going to Running of the Clowns, I was going pretty early, so I decided to go downtown and hang there for a bit, only to run into AIDS Walk after it had ended. I didn’t even know that was going on. There was a drag show also going on so I decided to spend my time there before heading to Pasadena.

I’m glad I did.

Running of the Clowns ’16 – Photo

It was a bust. We had two clowns and no runners show up. Part of me believes the whole creepy clown thing going on right now has something to do with it, and someone even called 911 to probably say “there are a couple of clowns here, we don’t know what to do.” The cops were cool we let them know what was going on, and totally understood it was something just fun and goofy. I know there were a couple of other people that messaged us saying they are running late, then after letting them know about the cops going asked if it was worth going over.

Are people getting tried of these kind of silly events? Black Tie Beach was a dud, and I noticed the Zombie Walk this year didn’t have as much people as last year. Still a lot of zombies, but definitely was fewer people. Need to figure something out to bring new life in.

Ready to Play

Awhile back a couple of friends were playing a show at some music store. Both of them had their own sets along with some other people who were also there to perform. Shots like this make me miss my tamron lens. It stopped working over two years ago for no reason and been stuck with the kit lens since. It’s tragic.
