How Newgrounds Changed Gaming

A nice video from Did You Know Gaming, about one of my favorite sites in the very late 90’s and early 00’s. It pretty much explains why the site newgrounds was important to gaming.

I signed up in 2001 and posted on the BBS a lot. I felt like it was the first place I could really be myself and it was therapeutic. Newgrounds is likely the biggest factor in me becoming a photographer. I’ve dealt with flash, made a few simple things and was happy with it. But my interest in taking photos and editing grew much faster and ended up getting my first SLR using money I won from a contest they had where I was Pico for Halloween that year. I meet Tom a few years later at Comic Con, meet other NG users and had a lot of fun. Thanks Tom.
