For the last week some of the big news is stores running out of food, cleaning supplies, but mostly, toilet paper. One store people are crowding in is costco, and one in my area has so many people going there lately because of corona virus, they are parking in lots that belong to completely separate businesses across the street. Not sure they are allowed to do that, but some people can be desperate.
I will always speak out against trump, because he’s unfit for office, a conman, a pathological liar, and just an over all crap person. One thing I notice about him is that I’ve never seen him own up to any mistake he’s made, just blames others. And with the current mess involving the Corona Virus it just gets more embarrassing.
It’s Friday the 13th again, which is always meaningful to me because that’s the day I like to post a photo of one of my old girls. They were good cats. It’s been almost 10 years since I lost one of them, and over 7 since Cybil here died.
I was looking forward to doing this again for a long time. I believe the last pillow fight happened in 2017, and I was at Wondercon during that time, which was in Anaheim so there was no way both could happen. I was ready for this and have been letting friends know and asking them to spread the word. But unfortunately because of the corona virus, I had to cancel the event.
The last one I did was in 2014, which is when I took the photo here. And today I learned LA Pride is being postponed, which to me does not sound good at all for any other events. This is not a good year.
This year did not start well for me. The first weekend after was good after Long Beach and No Pants, but rather slow since then. Events are getting canceled because of fears of the virus spreading, like South by Southwest, or pushed back like Coachella. Yesterday I learned my favorite convention, Ru Paul’s Dragcon was canceled this year, and today E3 Expo is the latest. I don’t know what’s next and this really bothers me because I need to go out and do stuff.
I’m not worried about catching anything because I recover from everything anyways. The need to move around is far too strong and it helps me out a lot. But if events like pride start getting canceled, we’re doomed.
Awhile back I got this alligator plush from Louisiana at what I believe was some kind of alligator farm. Dogs found it and now it’s their new favorite toy. I just think it would be better if it was more durable and had a squeaker in it, but make due with that you have.
And here is the last of the started from generation one of pokemon with a party hat on. It was all in celebration of an in game event. But here is the thing on how I got this pokemon, I had to do it though trade. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to come to that, but I was unable to find a Bulbasaur of this type anywhere during the time period it was available. Well, if you can’t catch em all, you can still get help from others who had luck.
Nearly three years ago facebook added a feature that I very much like. The ability to add a background images to text posts. I like it because it’s a good way to bring attention to what you have to say. What I don’t like is the limitation, more so on what you are given when on the computer. Not sure why this is but I would like more options to be added because much of the time I prefer to post form a computer.
Recently a friend shared a post on his facebook page showing album covers of pop artists during the late ’90’s to early ’00’s, like of Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and NSync saying “if you listened to these albums as a kid, you’re gay now.” That sure explains a lot about me, being that I didn’t listen to that kind of music, still don’t, and I’m not gay. So because I can I made my own version based more on music I listened to more of during that time.
I happen to have 5 of these CD’s, 6 if the copy of The Black Album from Metallica that was burnt for me all those years ago is valid. And even thought my copy of Smash from Offspring is a burn, I still consider it real because I did have the original CD. It just ironically got smashed.
Another pokemon with a party hat during the event that happened last weekend. I know there are more events coming in game, just waiting to hear what they are, so I can go out more and catch em all.
