Pekin

I’ve seen plenty of different types of duck, most often the Mallard but sometimes I see this kind of larger, white duck. I never knew what they were called till today when I decided to look it up, the American Pekin. I couldn’t help but to think “that’s a rather chinese sounding name.” And as I’m reading the article i outright says they were brought over from China. It’s the anthropologist in me that make me say that.
