Anime Expo Protester
I’ve done AX 6 times already, never before have I seen protesters during it so I decided to ask one of them for his story. I’m sure this will confuse some of you.

They are all now online… yes! so many of them, holy crap. Now day 4 wasn’t exactly very eventful, I walked around taking more photos and a little video (which is coming, not a lot but I have some. just hope tape didn’t warp anywhere), and because there were a lot less people there I didn’t get as many photos but of what I did they came out nicely. Also something I need to do is once again figure out a new gallery system, all this manual stuff is a pain in the ass so I need to pull something off.
The day started off with something really strange happening. as I was walking by the blue line station I hear some guy screaming out “stop!” and I see him grab some guy saying he is making a citizens arrest and calling for the guards at the station to do something about him. I have no idea what happened, figured it was because he might of hit the guy or told something from him and just got on his bike and rode off. So the first guy is yelling out “I don’t feel safe in this area anymore.” “lets all break the law, we should give him a medal.” Turns out it was because the guy was riding his bike on the platform. Yes it is recommended not to do that but most people don’t really care anyways that I’ve found.
Much more hanging around, taking photos, and later that day a friend of mine with me find herself a bit of a stalker, he was walking around her for a while taking photos from different angles so we called one of the staff guys to help us out to cover her and get the guy kicked out if we catch him doing it again with her or anyone else. So remember everyone, AX staff are also there to keep us safe. and later that night there was a rumor a girl was kidnapped but it turned up she went home without telling her friends so all was fine.
Day 2, well, nothing else different really happened on day 2. Oh, I run into -RoG- from i-mockery. I haven’t seen him since Comic Con ’09. He also gave me a button and put it on my backpack that I later discovered come off, I was sad about that.
I’m editing them now so just giving the heads up. Yesterday was the last day and I ended up sleeping a lot last night and also seemed to of got a little sick. Doesn’t matter, the rest of them will be up, and there is a coming video. Also I’m in a video someone else made and I’ll post that up when it is online. Also with the photos because I took so many I’m going to load them up so many at a time. Brace yourselves.
So, yes, I was at the convention center some today while also helping a couple of my friends try to figure out the metro rail system for Anime Expo starting tomorrow. Now if you are wondering about the Day 0 deal, it’s the day before the main events starts but people can still come over to pick up their passes so they don’t have to wait in line in the morning as it is warming up. Also by the convention center they are building up for some kind of X-Games event going on. I don’t know, maybe I’ll get more info on that later.
UPDATE WITH DAY 1:
I should get back to sleep soon, got to wake somewhat early. Anywho, got there, got my pass, walked around, took more photos and a bit of video and saw something new that I’m never seen or actually noticed before at Anime Expo. Religious protesters. I’ve seen them at Comic Con when I was there awhile back and they were few. Here there was a bunch of them. Is your life so lame that you actually have to keep track of coming events into the area just to hold your dumbs signs you pull out for every parade that takes place?
Also I was I was planing on taking the this one train back to my place because I wanted to be home at a specific time. Because why not? so as I’m about to hop on the blue line some jerk decides he wants to see if his corpse can stop a train. Well it did and caused delays causing me to miss the train I wanted so I hung for awhile longer and got home later on. Was all good still.
Saturday the new orange line extension will be opening going from Woodland Hills and Canoga Park up to Chatsworth. Thats going to make life a lot easier for a lot of people.
Someone on reddit posted this photo on the site about trolling the protesters at the pride event there. What I found interesting about the photo was I couldn’t help to notice how familiar guy at the megaphone looked.
So I decided to look at my photos from the Pride event here in LA two weeks ago and it turns out it’s the same guy in the photo below. Well traveled I see, I wonder what this guy actually does?
So I was around Northridge and figured I had some time before I headed back home so I got another photo of this. Kind of upset the grass is gone because I feel that helped make the shot before. Oh well.
