Wrath in the Wrong Direction

Ever been to a gas station in the last few months only to see these stickers on the pump? I still remember back when W. Bush was in office and gas hit 2, 3 and $4 for the first time during his term, then we were told “the president has no control over gas prices!” Then after Obama entered office he was blamed for high gas prices. Fast forward too early in the pandemic and gas prices drop because hardly anyone was out driving, then trump was given praise for it. What kind of mental gymnastics is this?

Meanwhile, gas companies are making record profits year after year, after year, and prices only go up. Gee, I wonder why? Some people are blaming the Ukraine invasion which I’m not sure that’s much a factor for us.
