Zoolander Gas Station Memorial
Earlier this week I heard about this on Beverly just a five minute walk west from Fairfax and made some time to head over thursday. Soon after I got there I found a friend of mine dressed as Mugatu and took some photos of the scene. They were also giving free iced coffee. After i was done I want to the grove nearby and to my surprise I discovered Samsung set a giant booth also promoting the movie. There you would do 3 different activities, first, take a selfie, make your best “blue steel,” then go on a catwalk and a short audio dub. I got a backpack, selfie stick and a print of my blue steel. While there I was also asked if I have a Samsung phone which I said I didn’t later on while on my way home I realized I in fact do. Wonder what other prize I might of got if I had known that. Oh well.
Blue Steel
So today I went by Fairfax to check out the Zoolander Gas Station Memorial, hung for a bit, took photos, then went to The Grove nearby where Samsung had a booth set up. You would take a selfie making your best bluesteel you can, as I did here, go on a catwalk and do a short video dub also promoting new Zoolander movie. I enjoyed myself. After collecting my prizes I was asked if I had a Samsung phone and said I didn’t, later realizing I actually do. Not really a smart phone but does what I want anyways. Oh well. Oh, and I have a selfiestick now.
Always Early
Can’t some places with for one major holiday to end before putting stuff up for the next?
Such sadness
So Chipotle did a promotion in hopes of regaining the trust of so many of us after all the outbreaks that happened at their restaurants. Over joyed by this of course I’m going to try getting myself a free burrito. Sadly, there is a down side of not being as fully advanced and I’m starting to think I should be in some of my technology. Oh well, there will be pride when I hope to get another mass of cards like I did last year.
In My Sights
With the Superbowl going on tomorrow, I still have a lot of my old football photos. Honestly, I don’t care much for watching the game, I just don’t. I mean, I enjoyed going to games taking photos, that was awesome, except those times when I saw the ball bouncing told me. That’s when you know panic.
