Chinese New Year ’16 – Photos

I feel asleep early last night, I hate when that happens. Oh well, I went to my typical spot to watch the parade and also got some video of the lion dance. Something I’ve always wondered about is the head of lettuce and I asked what it represented. From what I understand is it stands for life, because it is green and round like the earth (ok, the earth isn’t exactly green but anyone should get it anyways), and by throwing pieces of it out means the spreading of life (at least I believe that’s what I was told). If you are hit by any of it that means good luck for the year, and had some land on me so I guess that might be a good sign for me.
