Anime Expo ’13 – Photos
EDIT: Each of the four posts from AX on this year is combined into one. With a link to the entire album on Facebook below
DAY 1: So I got to the Convention Center on the first day of Anime Expo and as I’m about to enter I see people just inside checking bags and was also led to believe I also need a badge to enter the entire building (which was completely new for AX) and was bugged by that. So I waited in a very long line with the sun beating on me to get a pass only to learn I actually didn’t need one just to walk around the place, you just need one to enter certain areas and the people at the doors are just there to check bags. That made me feel better so I did just what I wanted to do, wander the place and take photos.
Something else fun is after 4:30 you can enter the exhibit hall free, but have to get a pass for that to. But it’s still free to pick up after 4:30.
DAY 3: After leaving a little later then I wanted to I headed down this time with a friend of mine that always wanted to do AX and finally got the chance to do whatever she wanted. I also went over as Loki again but while on our way I realized I left the scarf at home. Lame. I just figured “you know I’ll go as Loki tomorrow with the scarf to make myself feel better.” Ended up getting a lot more photos and stayed out pretty late. I think we left the con at around 11:30.
DAY 4: Last day of the con, and despite how much fun I had I’m glad it’s over with. The day started off meeting with another friend thats never been to a convention before and was interested after seeing some photos I showed her after we first met. We met up at Union Station morning and from there we went down and once we entered the building said it was like she was in some kind of fantasy, and had wished she dressed up in something herself. Also I came again as Loki and this time had the scarf with me, Stopped by a few people and had them take photos of me and found others, one of them also being suit and tie and was a guy (because most Loki’s you see are actually girls). I ended up spending much of the day hanging out with friends of mine. Everyone was so tired and you can see it in their faces as they walked by through the halls, but over all it was good.
