Remember the post I made about the pride protester here in LA and then in Chicago two weeks later? seems during the weekend between both events he was in Columbus, Ohio. He is in the trust jesus shirt near the far left end of the photo. I also have a name, Rubin Israel. This fat idiot is clearly well traveled and seems to be everywhere.
And it turns out he was outside the Convention Center during Comic Con.
Alright so here is what happened. My sister was down in san diego for the con with her kid and on one of the days she wanted to go as the female trainer on Pokemon Black and White and all that was left she needed was the hat. It was suppose to be in the mail by tuesday but ended up coming in on friday, after they left. So I picked it up and headed down on saturday, met with them, gave up the hat and decided to hang around outside and take photos for sure knowing I would get some good stuff outside still. Didn’t take long for someone to be highly awesome and give me their pass that was good for the rest of the con. So I went in, and started taking a bunch of photos of what I thought were good costumes and trolled the protesters outside some. Then before the day ended I got some video of something very strange, which will be coming soon to watch out and took a few more photos and took off for the night. Also I walked by Ron Jeremy, didn’t really care to ask for a photo, he looked like he just wanted to take off.
The next day which was sadly also the last day I decided to go a little crazier getting more photos and find some people I knew that would of been there. I ended up finding the Newgrounds/Behemoth booth, found tom and talked to him shortly. I also found the i-mockery booth and talked to -rog- shortly and told him about something I’ve noticed was people hand out cards to each other all the time but rarely goto each others sites (I can be guilty of them myself). This problem needs to be fixed, more so on my end because I can use more people coming here. Anywho, went around, got some more photos, just before the exhibit hall closed I took off for home.
Oh, also I meet, Rich Arons, who has done some work on some of the cartoons I loved as a kid like Tiny Toons and Animaniacs and has a book out, Turbie the Turtle Duck, Check it out. Also I met one of the guys that did some work on Batman Beyond and Justice League who also works on a web series League of STEAM. I love shaking the hands of these people that have given us awesome stuff.
I didn’t even know I was going to end up getting in. Mainly I was dropping something off and going to take photos of people outside the con and someone gave me their pass so I got in for 2 days free. Highly awesome there. So I’m about to start loading photos on my computer soon and I also have video, very strange video so wait for that. But for now webcam photo. Yes my computer has a webcam.
So a friend of mine found this webcomic and noticed the word “Steel Shark” being used in it and thought of me. So I read the comic and found this interesting. The person that created it gave herself the pen-name as she calls it (others would call it user/code/screen name, handle, and I’m sure many more things), AceroTiburon, would translates to Steel Shark in spanish. I’m sure I’ve been using the name longer anyways. Back when I made the first logo was late 2001 or early ’02 and the current version I use now I drew out in 2007. Also whats makes things more sad to me is she seems more likable. Also I drew a version of myself, camera, fire ball in hand, hair growing out like mad again, and all in her comic style, because I can. Or are least as close as I can, try a little taller and skinnier looking. Any who, check her site out.
So does anyone remember the comic I made awhile back? you know, The Elongated Penis Man Situation? I really should make more but thats hard because how rarely different people are available at the same time. Any who when I made it it was for a class of mine at the time and to help fill pages I made some fake ads. I believe this was one I used for the back cover and wanted to make something a little goofy so I used a real, yet long extinct animal, the Gorgonops to be a new and improved mail order pet. It was interesting trying to make the two drawings I used to make it pop a little, a photo from the show Primeval and another I ripped out from the show and placed it in one of my photos with a friend riding it.
I’ve talked to a few friends of about something like this. Gather up together and watch Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America at someones place then go see Avengers but I figure it would be best to do that on a weekend. This might be better that is if I’m not up to anything that day in which I might be anyways so sadness. And this is all being done by AMC Theatres but only a few places are doing this right now. More info will come later on who else will.
The video is now online, four days of crazy, and good times. Also what makes me really happy is the fact this year my tape didn’t mess up. Still, I’m in need of a new camera to do video that isn’t mini DV so that way I can have higher quality video and be better to work with.
Also for some humor reasons I put a futurama clip in, you’ll see why. Last the song that takes over the LMFAO song “Party Rock Anthem” is “Indifferent Suns” from Dark Tranquillity.
