Comic Con, Day 3 Cosplay

Here I am as Toki Wartooth from Metalocalypse, with a friend of mine as Nathan and this other person he wanted a silly photo with. I enjoyed it. Tomorrow is the last day and I would be dressed up but some of the marker I drew on my face might be there still.

On my way to San Diego

Or, well, I’m here now because comic con is currently happening. I took this photo while on the train because if you ask me it’s really the best way to go unless you have a lot of stuff you are bringing or plan on bringing back. I tend to pack light.

Long Beach Comic Expo ’14

I decided to head down to long back for this event. While many others were at the beach looking for angry bird with money inside (which I’m sure would of been fun) I covered this instead and ran into some friends again, others from before that I would say have now officially met, and hung out with some new people.

Though a small con taking place in a relatively small convention center, there was another con happening at the same time at the same place. Some of the venders also walked around and handed out bottles of their product. The only thing I got really was something called Alkame. Seemed like most other water I’ve had but was nice to drink anyways and helped keep my hydrated. Plus I finished that first before I finished off the water bottle I brought before hand.

Oh, and there was this one girl that keeping seeing me walking back and forth and was thinking to herself something along the lines of, “Who does he look like? I can’t remember the name” then it hit her, Jared Leto. Then she came up to me, talked for a while and asked for a photo. Yeah, of course I’ll join you in a photo, I don’t see why not.

Huh, not a lot to talk about really. Oh well, I still enjoyed myself.

CosplayCon ’14

So here are my photos from the event that when on at a place known as Franks and Son’s Collectables. From what I understand is Stan Lee was there earlier in the day but had to leave early because apparently a mistake with someone was make that he and other people we works with did know about till a few days ago was that he was double booked. I got there after he took off anyways and over all my main interest was the people there in costume. And to see some friends of mine that I knew were going to be there, because I know them far to well.

And I’m glad I got to meet quite a few new people.

After the Storm

Yeah, now that Anime Expo is over need to have some kind of calm after such so big event. I mean, out for 4 days taking photos (thought I’m sure I could of got more), I don’t want to do something else even bigger right away when I really can’t at the moment. I’ll just burn myself out and lose my mind… more so than I already have. Like with the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you start with a few movies with select characters then you have the big team up movie, The Avengers, and make it even crazier then the rest before. Then the next movie in the series that is a single shot, Ironman 3, you really shouldn’t try to out do the last major movie because it’s likely not going to be good enough with no matter what you pull out but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make an effort to do something relatively good.

But in this case for me I’m lazy right now and posting a funny shark comic I found to get a quick laugh in. Also I have a very short video coming and I’m looking around for photos of myself taken by others in cosplay.

Dino Andrade 0

Dino Andrade

So while at Comikaze last weekend, I noticed a familiar face who also very much remembered me from Comic Con ’09. Didn’t know I could be so memorable after 3 years from first meeting someone. Voice actor Dino Andrade, meeting with fans, signing stuff, and taking photos with them. But when I saw him at Comic Con before he was promoting his site SoulGeek which is a dating site for more nerd like people, and if you ask me thats a good idea. Any who, one of the things he was telling me about is he’s done some voice overs for some characters in the game World of Warcraft like the Gnome racial leader High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque. So then I was telling him about how I’m doing some experimentation in Photoshop with 3D models, and how I’ve figure out a way to export Warcraft models in a format I can open up in photoshop which in turn has some 3D tools to use in the program itself and wanted to see if I can pull this off. Take a photo of him and add Mekkatorque in almost as if they are in the photo together. I know, strange but it’s something neat to play around with. Still a lot to figure out with the 3D stuff, more so wonder how some of the polys look so hard edged on the face. Also need to figure out the alpha problem.

Comikaze ’12 – Day 1

So the day started off heading down the convention center with a couple of friends of mine ready to cause some mayhem. It was rather hot out to. So we get in line and for our passes. I was going to ask them about a problem I was having in which that I emailed them asking about the possibility of getting some kind of press or professional pass and never heard from anyone, but then I had someone come up to me saying they had a bunch of extra tickets and gave me one of them so I used that for the day. Mainly what I did was take photos of people and talked to those I was hanging with. Wasn’t exactly a big con but then again it is still relatively new so it very much has room to grow.

Sundays photos will be up late tonight or tomorrow.

007 Legends Art 0

007 Legends Art

While at Comic Con a guy that what I believe was the Activision booth gave this to me. I have no idea why so don’t ask but what is it is I guess some concept art for the new coming Bond game 007 Legends which I will not be able to play being I don’t use a Windows Computer nor do I have an Xbox or Playstation. Oh well, might as well share with you guys anyways. Still neat and cool of that guy. Sadly I have no idea what to do with it.
