Day 3, much like the day before, I was going as Loki. Seemed bit hotter that day to, and my poor shoulders from carrying my back pack around. I need to figure something new out about that. I got there a bit earlier then the day before to so that felt nice.
Well, really not much to take about, so here is the next set. One more to go. And a few videos.
Day started off lame, I had some unforeseen delays, and get here kind of late in the day. I felt kind of drained till a friend of mine spotted me and we talked shortly. After that I found myself feeling pretty good and became charged up. Nothing really different happened during my time there but it was all good still.
So here is day 2. Don’t worry, the rest of the craziness is coming.
So, that was an entertaining ride. I started the day picking up something a friend borrowed for a cosplay she had planned on doing for another con at the begging of the year but didn’t fall through. Oh well. It was hot out, so getting inside felt rather nice. And the lines to pick up badges were given a lot of praise because of how fast they went by.
Pretty much one thing that bothered me the entire time was the fact I didn’t see many of my friends there, and not sure why. But on day one I took off a bit early, but during the time there, i got a nice bunch of photos. So behold.
I didn’t get a chance to get a lot of photos because I also had to goto downtown for something else during the middle of the event. But it was a nice day over all. It was rather cool out at first, a lot of overcast going on and the sun didn’t come out till sometime in the afternoon. Later in the day it came back some and I didn’t think it was all that hot at all during the day, rather surprising for LA, or at least around this time of year.
Oh yes, prizes I picked up on. I got a bottle of something called, Sparkling Ice, type of flavored water, haven’t tried it yet but I do have it still. Coupons to some place called Wahoo’s, and it involves tacos so that’s a good thing to me. I got sticker from a couple of guys from Westssup, and a thing of chapstick from North Hollywood Toyota. Little odd but I’ll take it.
Also to make things better, when I was looking at CicLAvia’s site I saw that there will be 3 more this year.
But before that, lets see what else comes to happen in between.
I have to say, the new camera takes some nice video. But I have to say once again, more experimentation needs to be done.
The funny part was, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to go down for it. I had few friends convince me to and yeah, good idea. I didn’t get a lot of photos but what was awesome was the fact I did get fed. A well fed shark is a happy shark.
I did some more experimentation of the camera settings and I do believe I’m getting closer to the visual style I want, but there is still more to be done. Also, there is video coming.
I was skating around, taking photos, and was photographed myself. So far only one person has sent me a photo from that of all those I asked to before that kept taking others of me, or posed with me. I just want to feature it.
That, was a good day. I was the ride captain for the Culver City group riding on the expo line. Basically my job was to help people get their passes, to make sure they get on the train, and answer any questions they had. I had a pretty big group with me so that was fun. After we all got on the train we then went to Union Station were all groups from each line converged. After being there for a half hour it was time to start heading to the red line for the final leg of our journey to Hollywood where we flooded the street with our pantsless glory. We then went to near by bar along hollywood blvd, Loaded, and had ourselves a nice little after party. By the time I left most of the people inside had their pants on.
While on my way back home I found a few other people waiting for the train back that had already repantsed by then, and so did I.
I have to say, that was a good first event for the new camera.
