Come on Down…

Last night a friend had a comedy show at The Virgil, and there was a Price is Right theme going on with it. The crowd really got into the act as if we were on the show itself, but an HBO version because there is swearing and guys being objectified for comedy reasons. It was a lot of fun, I got a name tag, and won a candle and this water gun. Never knew anything like that existed but sure, I’ll play with it some how. I didn’t think I was going to win anything, let along be called up on stage. Sure glad I went out for that last night.

Two-Tails

So, one of my cats caught something, but I didn’t know how interesting it was going to be till he lifted his paw off. My immediate reaction was, “WHOA!” Totally did not expect.

Legion Invasion

So I learned if you get on he PTR servers (public testing realm) they are testing a coming event in the game. It’s kind of buggy stuff but I’m enjoying massing up together to beat on big bads.

E3 Expo Day 1

Well, I didn’t get much here, I covered some stuff outside the convention center. One run by EA where I played Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. I couldn’t take photos or video of the game play because they asked for no one to do so, being it’s in the pre-alpha. Long time since I really played a first person shooter, but I did fine. Doritos also had something going on with some old school style arcade, with some games seemingly doritos themed. I got tired pretty quick and went home. Didn’t help that I had a mostly disastrous day, mostly while on my way over.

But At least I’m happy with what photos I got.

LA Pride ’16 – Photos

Well, what a wonderful and fabulous day that was. I was in the parade once agin with PFLAG and had an extra treat while on the route. Belinda Carlisle walked with our group. Of course all kinds of insanity that can only be seen in photos and difficult for me to explain. Though it was pointed out to me more police was around, some people thought it might of been because of what happened in Orlando, while it might of alts been what almost happened that morning. But even if I knew about the guy arrested that morning before I left, I would of still gone. I will not let any fear get to me to do something I enjoy and to see people happy, and enjoying their lives.

and Besides, you do mess with my homos.

LA Cosplay Con ’16 – Photos

It was pretty much a one day con, but was still fun. Getting to Long Beach was kind of annoying. While on my way down from the blue line there was some kind of announcement about how we will have to be dropped out at the Artesia station. Didn’t say why till we got there, and it was that the city of Long Beach had no power, so the trains wound’t be able to get any further. So I ended up just jumping on a LB city bus that pulled up up and decided to take that all the way down. Took awhile still but with luck power was restored.

Any who, While there a coin and stamp show was also taking place in the same building. Not much interaction between both groups of people that I noticed. I checked out a panel with some friends on LGBT cosplayers. There was one person there who is a trans male and his dad was there to show support. He admitted it’s hard on him but rather his son live and be happy. Oh, those feels. Pretty much the rest of the day was about wandering around taking photos. As the day was coming to an end there was an after party in the convention center, a DJ played a bunch of good classic stuff and we ever had a musical performance by one of our fellow cosplayers. And well, she can sing, but she told me about how nervous she was before and we just encouraged her.

One thing strange, I forget to get my intro and exit photos. Not sure why, but good times.

Macaw

Don’t worry, LA Cosplay Con photos will be online. I just got home from LA Pride and it was excellent as always. But it’s unfortunate of the news of what happened in Orlando that I learned about this morning, and what almost happened in West Hollywood while I was there. I know, there is a big problem, and it’s people that act out from an irrational hatred based on a fear that shouldn’t exist and makes no sense.

Anyways, To at least help brighten things up, here is a Blue and Gold I saw while on my way to Long Beach for the convention.

Get on your Boots

I was given some new wheels for my blades. Well, my dad bought them years ago for something else but never got used and just gave them to me. I would say I’m about ready for the pride parade sunday. Are you?
