Comic Excitement ’17 – Photos
Not a whole lot there, sharing photos from both days on here. I pretty much talked about what went on on yesterdays post so I’m not sure about what else I can add to it.

Well, that was wild. We did something new this time, all starting off at Union Station and going in waves. It takes an hour to reach Santa Monica from the starting point, and we hung out at Tongva Park. Then the after party at Del Frisco’s Grille and Ma’Kai Restaurant and Lounge. Two location there were rather close to each other. One area at Ma’Kai’s some people where dancing around doing some other wild stuff themselves. Later in the night a small group of us decide to head towards the beach since we were so close to it. A few people went into the water, which I believe was a bad idea since our water is always cold, and it’s winter here so, nope, not happening on my part. After hanging for a while there, I headed out.
I would say was a good no pants, but one thing i was bothered about was some people not being very discreet about it and bringing music to play while on the trains. Come on, follow the rules of the metro, and do bug the civilians. That’s what the after party is for.
Still, really good start for the year. Can only hope the rest can go as well or better.
Ok, time to load everything up. Still a bit out of it but feeling better. But any who, to tell of my adventure. The day started in Santa Monica at Barney’s Beanery, on 3rd...
I wonder how many of these are going to happen for the next four years? I think everything went well. There there are stories on riots happening, which is barely a thing. Most protests...
Finally, they are online. I had fun like always, nice big party with music playing on stages set up for people to dance to. This time I finally had the chance to leave while...
The convention that I guess can say, formerly known as Comikaze. It was pretty good, Got a lot of photos the first day, not as much the second because my legs were not being happy with me. Plenty of good humor around, and we also had some religious fundies come down and do their typical shout their beliefs and insult people kind of deal. Didn’t take them long to leave. After the day was over, was an event held by Club Comic Con. While there I met the guy who sang the original pokemon theme, aka, the best one, because it’s metal. I enjoyed myself.
So they had another party last night, but this time it was done at the Precinct in Downtown LA. It was also one of the locations we went to during santacon last year. There...
Zombie walk photos are now up. I got there 15 minutes later then I wanted at least, but at that time everyone was still gathering. One person there, she is moving out of state and was her last lurch, so she asked if we can cover her car in blood and record it before everyone went underground. We then got off the red line in hollywood, and since the last time we’ve been there, the intersection at highland is now diagonal, so walking across that street got way more fun. As always, we walked to vine, and back where we hung out in an open area just outside Madame Tussauds.
I wound say for this year there wasn’t as many people. Not sure why, but since had plenty. I ran into some people that were during cicLAvia earlier that day. One person I talked to said she was hoping to find out because they didn’t think they would have time to join in the walk. All good, at least her and her friends had a chance to check it out.
It was a one day convention, and the first one. It took place in the Pasadena Convention Center which I was there there for the first time during Politicon this year. I actually enjoyed myself. I took part of a Smash Bros. tournament, 2 Stock, 5 minutes.
In the first round I was up against this kid dressed as Mario who brought his own controller. My thought was I’m going to enjoy this match. He killed me first, then I killed him right after, but he got the win on me making the second kill. He beat two other people after me but lost to the guy that got second place. I later run in to that guy and told me that kid gave him quite a fight.
Pretty much after it was roam around, take photos, I think I got a nice bunch. After it was all over we had an after party at a nearby Dave and Busters, and nearby I mean just over 7 miles away. It was pretty dark there so getting photos was little to much a problem. Over all, it was a good con, more so since most of the time from what I understand on the first one they tend to be a bit disorganized, but they got it to work.
EDIT: both posts combined Day 1: I enjoyed myself there. The morning started off interesting, helping some people get to the con, and seeing a long line for people picking up their passes. That...
