E3 Expo ’15 Photos

Three, I repeat, three days of waiting in (rather short) lines, playing all kinds of demos, watching awesome videos, taking photos, getting some video of games I’ve played and recorded a few other people, and getting a bunch of neat prizes. I rather enjoyed that.

I would post more but I think I have some videos in mind to post from this event that might better describe how it all went down.

And now, to sleep

LA Pride ’15 Photos

Well, these got online quickly. Once again I joined in the parade with PFLAG. I think it mades sense because I like to consider myself as a friend of the LGBT community. Before the parade started there was a lot of overcast, and soon before we stepped off it started clearing up. Something I have done every year was goto the end of the parade route before it starts and skate to the beginning, but this year I didn’t think I had time to do so and decided not to do that.

We were one of the earlier groups to go on the route, and as I skated along it I found a lot of bright and colorful people, as I always do every year. Plenty of humor, and of course the protesters shouting out their cheap insults. I wonder if they recorded that again this year? Saw some people I knew from Moorpark, and soon after found my self at the end of the parade route. after I said my goodbyes to everyone, I went to the nearby pavilions to relax my feet some. I see the Magic Mike float going bay, got a couple of shots only to learn later on Channing Tatum and Matt Bomer were on that float, and I have photos.

After the entire thing ended, I went up and down Santa Monic Blvd to get more photos of anything else I saw interesting, and I did get a nice bunch of things. Then after 5 I started to head to Hollywood for Geek Pride at the Dragonfly. I thought that was a nice way to end the day, and got to see some of my friends there who sadly weren’t able to get to LA pride because of other things going on for them at the time.

I had such a good weekend.

LA Cosplay Con ’15 Photos

Well, this took a little while to load, and the fact I was at LA Pride yesterday, and then went to another event towards Hollywood, Geek Pride kept me out all day did cause a delay. I got back home last night so tired with my legs killing me, yet it felt so good with my weekend of insanity.

Any who, LA Cosplay Con, I went down taking the bus over and while I was talking to a couple of people, a girl also on the bus over heard me mention it and asked if I knew where I was going. Of course I do, and when we got off we just made a slightly longer walk then I had expected. I got to the hotel the event was being held at, changed into my Loki outfit. A friend of mine that was hosting a panel, and had a few others speaking on it invited me to come check it out on LGBT Cosplayers and how other people view them, and what it was like for each person when they came out as who they are.

I then went around the exhibit hall and an area just outside of the hotel but still a part of the property. Lots of nice costumes, and a few people I didn’t expect but all was good. It was a single day convention and strangely enough there was another event taking place over by the city of Industry also going by the name, Cosplay Con, likely trying to do that to attract people to that event which to me was much further away and I don’t care to head over for. Then after the con was over there was an after party taking place in the same place the exhibit was in. There was music, and dancing, and after a little while hanging out with some people I headed out. It was time for me to do so anyways, I had another party to join into the next morning.

Well, Long live cosplay

Long Beach Pride ’15

I was mainly there for the parade, but didn’t plan on being it this one because I didn’t know who was walking it and figured would be there after the step off anyways by about 10 minutes, but ended up be more like 30 or 40 because one segment on track on the blue line was being upgraded. What I did instead was skate up and down the parade route a number of times and just took photos like that.

After the parade was over there were some people having a little parties in their places along the street, much of which was residential. Many people saw me on my blades and thought that was very cool, and when they found me later and mentioned that.

While on my way home I met some people who were at RuPaul’s Dragcon which also happened this weekend. I knew about it before and thought about it, but did’t know what to expect since it was the first one. I was told it was a bit of a mess but still fun. And that there was a lot of good costumes there. So, I think I might consider it for next year, I’m sure it will be all kinds of crazy so let see what happens.

Anywho, LB Pride photos.

CicLAvia 3.22.15 Photos

I didn’t get a chance to get a lot of photos because I also had to goto downtown for something else during the middle of the event. But it was a nice day over all. It was rather cool out at first, a lot of overcast going on and the sun didn’t come out till sometime in the afternoon. Later in the day it came back some and I didn’t think it was all that hot at all during the day, rather surprising for LA, or at least around this time of year.

Oh yes, prizes I picked up on. I got a bottle of something called, Sparkling Ice, type of flavored water, haven’t tried it yet but I do have it still. Coupons to some place called Wahoo’s, and it involves tacos so that’s a good thing to me. I got sticker from a couple of guys from Westssup, and a thing of chapstick from North Hollywood Toyota. Little odd but I’ll take it.

Also to make things better, when I was looking at CicLAvia’s site I saw that there will be 3 more this year.

But before that, lets see what else comes to happen in between.

Lepricon ’15

Last weekend I was sent an invite to this, and with nothing to do I figured why not. At least it will get me out for the day and I can use that time to download some of my stuff again like Warcraft. Photoshop is back on but it was strange putting on, and still kind of strange working it for now but it’s working.

Anywho, this was taking place at Woodly Park, and it was a picnic really. There was also DJ’s playing, some dancing, dogs, and just a general hang out kind of day. It was also the first time this event was held so there are hopes it could happen again but be bigger.

I would like to join in again.

Long Beach Comic Expo ’15 – Photos

I am now back home from that party. I really enjoined that. And with further experimentation with my camera I took a lot of photos that I’m actually pretty happy with. I felt something might off been wrong with me because I wasn’t liking how my photos were coming out on my old camera. I don’t know.

It’s a rather small con, I was there as Timmy Turner on the first day, and I’m always kind of surprised how many people like it. Plus I’ve been feeling a bit down lately, but after this I feel kind of revitalized.

Kind of excited to see whats coming up next.

Chinese New Year ’15 Photos

The funny part was, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to go down for it. I had few friends convince me to and yeah, good idea. I didn’t get a lot of photos but what was awesome was the fact I did get fed. A well fed shark is a happy shark.

I did some more experimentation of the camera settings and I do believe I’m getting closer to the visual style I want, but there is still more to be done. Also, there is video coming.

Can’t want to see whats next.
