Warcraft – Fel Orc Tech Tree

After a good long time we are back with some new tech trees for my little fan series; Warcraft 3: The continuation of the game of World of Warcraft, with playable races in game along with some factions being playable as a strategy game in the style of Warcraft 3. With the concepts made by me using in game model files from WoW with the help of the WoW Model Viewer and the WoW Head Dressing Room.

Human | Dwarf | Gnome | Draenei | WorgenOrc | Tauren | Troll | Forsaken | Blood Elf | Goblin
Kul Tiran | Dark Iron | Mechagnome | Alliance SubZandalari | Nightborne | Mag’har | Horde Sub
Naga | Old Gods | Twilight | Void | PrimalistsPandaren | Tuskarr | Dracthyr | Broken | Earthen
Legion | Fel Orc | Sargerei | ScarletScourge | Vrykul | Mawsworn

For today we have the Fel Orcs. Orcs infused with demon blood to make themselves more powerful in service to the Burning Legion. They were first seen in Warcraft 3 with a partial tech tree, where they were playable for a mission, then you had to fight them. Pretty much they’ll just be a mirror, or as much of one as possible to the Orc tree, but with a minor change or two.

Fel Dire Orc
Tracker

Starting off, there ready is a Peon in game for Warcraft 3, along with the Grunt, Raider and Kodo Beast Rider, which might end up changing creatures to ride on like the Clefthoof. But continuing on will be the addition of a new ranged unit, the Tracker. It was just be a simple ranged unit, no additional abilities. Next a tier 3 unit, which the regular orc tree didn’t have, because I couldn’t think of anything that made sense, then, and still can’t now, The Fel Dire Orc, based on the mobs found in game. It would be about as powerful as the Abominations on the undead tree. The first time you see these guys were in the second WoW expansion, the Burning Crusade. I figured it would make sense to add them with the Fel Orc tree most.

Death Knight
Necrolyte

The next set of units is the casters. The Warlock is already in game too so that will be staying, along with a couple of added units. First is the Necrolyte, based on the unit first seen in the first warcraft game, but I made it female. But it Sia also possible to use in game models already there, but modifying the texture. And last is the Death Knight, based on the version seen in Warcraft 2. I originally had in mind to had the Death Knight be a hero unit but I felt like that was a bit much, and just made more sense to be a regular unit.

Nether Drake Rider

The siege unit will be the Catapult, as seen in game already so no change there. And last the flying unit, which will be the Nether Drake Rider, based on the Nether dragons seen in game.

And the final group, the hero units. There already is a Fel Blademaster unit in game so that will be staying. There will also be 3 more hero units, starting with the Beastmaster. It will be a lot like Rexxer, or the Beastmaster hero already in Warcraft 3. Next is the Assassin which will be based on the Garona hero that would have been created for a DLC campaign of the first war, if plans actually came through. And last, the Soul Stealer, a warlock hero that might be mounted, like the Far Seer.

Alright, that’s it for now. Some more stuff is coming. Not a lot but I got some stuff ready now and I’m happy with how it came out.
