Warcraft – Kul Tiran Tech Tree

Welcome back, to the long going series I put up a while ago, where I imagined if Warcraft 3 kept going with the story World of Warcraft. Where if each placeable race in game, along with some other factions would be playable and had their own tech trees, this is what I believe they would look like. Now at first I used WoW Model Viewer, but I can’t get that to work anymore on my computer, so I’ve been using the Dressing room feature on WoW Head to help put my concepts together.

With the announcement with Battle for Azeroth sometime during the last decade, was also the introduction of Allied Races. The idea is some playable races in game were remade to be something new allowing players to mix things up. Today is the Human nation of Kul Tiras, or Kul Tiran Humans. Now we do see Kul Tirans in the bonus campaign in Warcraft 3. Now there was kind of their own tree that existed in game, but I want to rework it to reflect what we see in WoW.

Now one I could do is reuse models already in game, with the human tech tree already there, but I decided incase it’s decided upon there will be different version just to add some flair. The Peasant would get reused along with the Militia. Next the combat units, starting with the Footman. It will basically be the same as what’s already in game. The ranged unit, the Gunner, which will be a lot like the Marksman with my version of the human tree. And last, the Knight. Not much different from the version in game, other then slight cosmetic change if decided upon. Also it will be riding a house, but in this screen shot I have it demounted.

The next set is the casters. First up is the Chaplain, which I will use the model already in game. Another that is in game is another caster called the Hydromancer, which is on a horse. I decided to replace that with the Tidesage. Next is a new unit, the Stormlurker, which will act like a Shaman. And the last caster unit will be the Thornspeaker, a druid unit that will have nature based spells.

Next I’ll just talk about the siege unit, which will be the Catapult, and there already is a model in game so not much needed there. I can’t think of any flying units as of now, but could be a Griffin Rider.

And last, hero units. Starting off with the Shocktrooper, which will be a heavy combat unit. The idea was to base her on Taelia Fordragon, but with different armor. Next is the Archdruid, not much to add to that. Then is the Archmage, which will be a lot like the Archmage on the human tree, and much like Jaina. And last is the Swashbuckler, based on Daelin Proudmoore in game. But with fancier dress. Anyways, more will be coming, there is still a lot of work to do to sort things out and more concepts to put together, so it could be a while till everything that I believe would work out will be done.
