Warcraft – Primalists Tech Tree

We are back with another installment in my fan series, Warcraft 3: and the insane amount of potential expansions or just DLC campaigns that keep the story of World of Warcraft going as if it was in the style of the strategy game that started the craze off. Using the Dressing Room on WoW Head the WoW Model Viewer to help put together my visual concepts.

Human | Dwarf | Gnome | Draenei | WorgenOrc | Tauren | Troll | Forsaken | Blood Elf | Goblin
Kul Tiran | Dark Iron | Mechagnome | Alliance SubZandalari | Nightborne | Mag’har | Horde Sub
Naga | Old Gods | Twilight | Void | PrimalistsPandaren | Tuskarr | Dracthyr | Broken | Earthen
Legion | Fel Orc | Sargerei | ScarletScourge | Vrykul | Mawsworn
Tarasek
Reaver

Today the faction I put a tree together for is to the Primalists. A group led by four dragons who rejected the gifts, or by their words, corruption of the Titans and embraced the Elements who were already a part of their world long before that gave them life in the first place. They empowered other dragons and mortal beings to help them in their battles. Some units will be from playable races in WoW, because some of them do join forces with the Primalists.

Archer
Drakonid

Starting off with the tree is the worker unit, the Tarasek, based on the creature in game. To me they fit in most as some kind of labor unit for the Primalists, but I also have in mind that they will become a Milita like unit like what’s on the human tree already in Warcraft 3 when a base is under attack.

Next set is the combat units, starting with the tier 1 unit, the Reaver, which will be a Troll. The armor set I gave it is based on what is looted in the Vault_of_the_Incarnates raid, which is much like what I did with other units on this set. Next is the ranged unit, the Archer, which will be a Night Elf. there will be a possible name change. Then there is the Dragonspawn Meddler, based on the creep already seen in Warcraft 3, but with some stat changes. I have in mind that it will act like a Raider on the Orc tree. And last the tier 3, which will the Drakonid. I have in mind it will be about as powerful as a Tauren. The only visual change I would make with the Drakonid is to change the color of the skin and armor to a shade of purple.

Hailcrasher
Cinderweaver

The next set is the caster units. There is a lot here and they are named after mobs in game. The first of the set is the Cinderweaver, which will be a Blood Elf. As it name goes it will use fire based spells. Next is the Hailcrasher, which will be a Draenei using water and ice based abilities. After that is the Landshaker, an Orc with earth based attacks. Then there is the Stromchanter, a Dwarf with wind and lightning based spells. And last will be another Dragonspawn Sorcerer, based on the creep in Warcraft 3 but with some stat changes. I don’t know what abilities it will have, but they will likely be elemental spells.

Landshaker
Stormchanter

Next set is the Siege unit which will be a Balista, and there is a lot of different types in WoW, so if anythings one of those models can be reused to just modify the one already in Warcraft 3. The flying units will be Proto Dragons, along with the Whelps and Drakes.

And last is the hero units. The first is the Infused Drakonid, mainly based on the Mob Boss, Eranog. It is a Drakonid infused with elemental powers. There are 4 different models in WoW of different Infused Drakonids, one fire, ice, storm and earth. I had to pick one so I went with fire. Next is the Primal War Mage, which I had in mind that it will be very loosely based on the Primal Incarnates in their visage form and its ultimate ability is to turn into a Dragon. Next up is the Grand Summoner, based on Kurog Grimtotem, who is the reason the Primal Incarnates became released in game. And last, is the Broodkeeper, based on the mob boss, Diurna.

Anyways, that’s it for the day, and there is more coming up, just more work to do and things to figure out. Till next time.
